More than 200 nocturnal creatures will soon call Pontiac home as the Organization for Bat Conservation wraps up its move to downtown.
The conservation, the only one of its kind in the Midwest, is moving its sanctuary to 75 Huron St., on the corner of Woodward Avenue, to study the urban bat population in Pontiac. The group will hold educational programs on bats and other nocturnal animals, tours and community events throughout the year, as well as work to create bat-friendly green spaces and urban gardens near the new headquarters.
